Hope everyone had a good start to 2016. I certainly did. Yesterday we cleaned away Christmas, as nice it is to put up all decorations in early December it is also so nice to get rid of it all after New year. Today school started so we are back into the routines again and that is kind of nice for all of us.
Read MoreMy children are getting very excited and are wondering a lot about Santa, "how can he know every child name", my daughter is very concerned about Santa´s diet "does he only eat porridge and gingerbread cookies" and "how can he see us when we don´t see him". It is actually amazing how parents keep lying (or not telling the truth) for their children about Santa but I am doing it as well.

I certainly hope the ski resorts will get a big snowfall soon. The holidays are approaching fast and there are still a few things to take care of. This year I did all my shopping from my computer and I am just about to press the purchase button on the last couple of gifts. How do you do it? It is so convenient and you don´t have run around in stores.

One thing I love being in the Bucks County area is that there are so many creative farmers and foodies. This past Saturday we visited Bobolink in Milford NJ. It is a dairy farm and bakery.

Read MoreI have been busy the last week with my parents visiting from Sweden. We have done some tours around New Jersey but mainly just spent quality time together. Always when they come I ask them to bring a few food items from Sweden.
Read MoreI hope everyone had a great Halloween and ate lots of candy. We sure did but now it is back to normal. Our kids go crazy with the candy for that day but then we put it in out candy cupboard and they slowly forget about it and some how the candy mountain disappear any way. It is a mystery in our house....

It is actually nice because my children loves to come with me as well. While I wonder around looking at all the good and beautiful produce they try to pet every single dog that is there. They also like to bring their own wallets and insist on buying something with their own money and they usually ends up with a flavored honey stick. It is only my husband who doesn´t really enjoy going there but when he gets the vegetables prepared in healthy meals during the week then he appreciate it.
Read MoreI love shopping my vegetables at the local farmers market. In Summit NJ, where I live there is a great farmers market Sunday mornings, it is perfect to get all your vegetables for the up coming week. I like to shop around to see what is fresh, in season and looks fantastic. Then when I plan my weekly menu I start with all the delicious vegetables I just got. Usually when I do my weekly shopping I do the menu first and then the shopping list but sometimes it is more fun to do it this way and a bit more of a challenge to use the veggies I just bought.
Read MoreI love to bake and cook and could be doing that all day long. These crackers I made yesterday and they are absolutely delicious and very easy almost impossible to fail. I got them for the first time at my good friend Karin´s house.
